What type of people do you train?
I dedicate myself to solely training women aged 30 – 55 years who are career professionals with busy lifestyles who may also be working mothers with children.
Why do you only train female clients who are career orientated?
Simple, I am a retired police officer and I understand the demands that a highly responsible and stressful job can have on your health and personal life. I also acknowledge that career driven people put so much of their time and effort into their careers that they often have little time left in their day to exercise and spend time with family. The reality is that health and fitness is bottom of their ‘To Do’ list despite their best intentions to try and stay fit. Women also care more about their appearance than a lot of men in similar professions – have a look around your office if you don’t believe me! It is also a fact that many women not only have a career, but also have to be a mother to their children and a home builder.
Why do you only deliver mobile personal training services?
If my clients had to travel and train at a studio it would defeat the purpose of what I’m about and the services I deliver. I understand that my clients are busy people who haven’t got time to go the a gym, so why would they have time to come to a studio after work? I design training packages to suit the individual, not the other way around like most personal trainers. So if that means meeting a client at her work place at lunch time that is what I do, if it means training a client in her home before she has to pick the kids up from nursery or school I will arrange my schedule accordingly. Some clients like to train in the morning, if that is the case it can be arranged and we both need to set our alarm clocks for that early rise!
This method works for a lot of my clients who enjoy the convenience of training at home. The good news is that the costs of providing all the equipment for the sessions and my travel costs are included in the price of the package, so there are no hidden costs!
What difference will I see in my personal and professional life if I train with You?
The first difference you will notice about yourself is that you will feel so much better about YOU. The psychological benefits of exercise after a long period of inactivity are ‘priceless’, this ‘feel good’ factor will be enhanced as you start to lose weight and see your body shape change as your training progresses.

I am far too busy to fit exercise into my busy schedule, how can you help?
Everyone has 24 hours in their day, it’s how you use them that is important. Sometimes you think you are being productive, when you are actually being counter – productive and sometimes you are just being ‘busy being ‘busy’!
Do you really need to work through your lunch hour? Is it just a case of trying to impress the boss or catching up on what everyone is doing on Facebook?! As I mentioned earlier, if you want to train during your lunch break I can meet you and push you to your limits in a 30 minute session, which means you still have time for a shower and some lunch – it is a myth that you have to train for an hour to get the benefits. You are then good to go for the remainder of the day and I can guarantee that you will have more clarity and energy to perform your job to a high standard and impress the boss who sees that you have excellent time management skills as you trained during your lunch break and still got that report in on time!
If lunch times don’t suit, I can train you in the morning before you go to work or after work at your home. All you need to do is be committed to your training and adopt a ‘no excuses’ approach. It is my job to plan your sessions and make sure you achieve your goals. For my part, consider it done! Are you ready for the challenge?
I haven’t exercised for years and to be honest I find it a bit daunting, how can you re – assure me that you are the right personal trainer for me?
An excellent question! Not only have you to satisfy yourself that I am the right personal trainer to help you achieve your goals, I also have to be sure in my mind that you are the right client for me, as I have a very selective client base and set very high standards. I care about all my clients and I’m willing to go the ‘extra yard’ to help them get the results they want and deserve. This is why I invite all prospective clients to take advantage of my FREE Fitness & Wellbeing Assessment, plus a FREE PT Session with no obligation from you to sign up to train with me, unless you want to! If you decide you would like to work with me the next stage of the Process is to arrange a date in our diaries to take you through your ‘Fitness & Wellbeing Health Package’ which is a compulsory and confidential personal consultation before your first training session. Unlike a lot of personal trainers I never train a client without knowing their full medical history and/or injuries of note. I also use this time to establish if you have any ‘barriers’ that will affect your training and how we can overcome them – there are no ‘problems’ only ‘solutions’. And fundamentally we both need to know your fitness goals and when they will be achieved as this is a two way working relationship, I adopt a ‘no excuses’ approach to everything I do and you must be the same – Failure is not an option! You set high standards at work, so there is no reason to drop them in your journey to the new YOU. Only at this stage will I have an idea of the correct training package to ensure you achieve your goals.
I want you to train me, however I need to build my fitness up slowly, what program would you advise for me?
Don’t worry, I fully understand that you will probably feel nervous and out of your comfort zone. Believe it or not it is good to get out of your comfort zone because it usually means that you have taken positive action, in your case to get healthier and fitter. All your training sessions will be carefully planned with YOU in mind, not bland training sessions some personal trainers will use again and again, with no consideration for their client’s needs and expectations. I have often thought about having my own personal trainer, but they can be so expensive, would I not be better getting a gym membership?
I am often asked this question and my initial response is ‘compared to what?’
The old adage ‘you get what you pay for’ is very true in the fitness industry. hiring the expertise of an experienced personal trainer is a big consideration and only you can decide if you want to invest in your long term health. If you decide to take out a gym membership go for it and I wish you luck with that one! How many people do you know who ‘go to the gym’ but never seem to actually get any fitter? Maybe you are one of those people and that is the reason you are reading my website at the moment. The reality is most people through no fault of their own don’t know how to train properly to get the best results, as I alluded to earlier your brain is a sat nav, so it is important to input the correct information to ensure to arrive at your destination which for you is the body shape that makes you feel happy about YOU! One final question about large gyms – what is one of the first things you see when you walk through the door? Answer – a vending machine full of chocolate, sweets, crisps and fizzy drinks, I rest my case! Do you honestly believe that these large gyms really care about your health? But what about the classes I get with my membership I hear you say? Some classes are great and there are some good instructors out there and some not so good. The problem with ‘classes’ is that most don’t cover all the key elements of fitness (ask your instructor if he/she knows what the key elements of fitness are) and tend to be repetitive, so at some point your body will plateau if you do the same workouts, weight reps etc, and the outcome is that you stop getting the results you are training so hard to achieve.
If on the other hand you want to train with a highly trained, dedicated fitness professional who has the knowledge and experience to get you the results you deserve within a specific timescale without the need for you to leave your own home, it is a ‘no brainer’! Educating and training people to become fitter and healthier and be ‘the best they can be’ is my mission in life and it doesn’t feel like a job, it is my passion and I will include all the key elements of fitness into your package to ensure that you get a full body training program. Have you noticed how bored a lot of staff in gyms look – do they inspire you? One final thought, if you do own a gym membership count up how much you have paid in annual subscriptions and ask yourself if you have had your monies worth, be honest.
Then ask yourself how much you would have saved training with me and how much better you would look and feel.
I have looked on the internet and there are lots of personal trainers advertising their services, why should I chose you?
You are right, there are loads of excellent personal trainers in the fitness industry and some not so good. Where I differ is that I have never adopted what I call the ‘supermarket PT’ approach like some personal trainers who are willing to train anyone who walks through the door irrespective of their fitness goals and personal circumstances. Nor would I ever ‘walk the floor’ like a second hand car salesman touting for clients like some personal trainers I know who work in large ‘exclusive’ gyms.
I specialise in training professional, career orientated women aged 30 – 55 years who lead busy lives for the reasons I mentioned at the top of the page. So, if you fit into that category and want to lose weight and develop lean feminine tone in the privacy of your own home then I am the right personal trainer for you. If you want to become a body builder or run a marathon I suggest you keep researching on the internet, because I am not the personal trainer for you!
What happens after I have completed my training package with you?
The choice is yours, I am confident you will have achieved your fitness goals at the end of your package so you may decide that I have given you sufficient knowledge and motivation to train on your own or you may decide that you want to continue to train with me, which would be great! If that is the case we could discuss new fitness goals and I will design you a new training package or we could simply meet up and do ‘maintenance sessions’ to keep you on track and develop your fitness levels over an unlimited period.
